Opera in concorso 'Dov'è l'amore'

‘Questo disegno nasce con l'intento di dare una rappresentazione simbolica al concetto di amore, inteso non soltanto come amore verso una persona, ma come sentimento universale. Mi sono servita di un solo medium, la matita, per poter restituire un'immagine sintetica ed essenziale. Vi sono due sfere collegate da un sottile filo. Nella sfera a sinistra vi è una lumaca, che osserva la sfera a destra su cui sta germogliando una piantina. L'immagine pone un dilemma: la lumaca vuole nutrirsi, ma per farlo l'unico modo è attraversare il  sottilissimo filo che lega le due sfere. Ci riuscirà?  L'opera è stata concepita ed eseguita nel mese di marzo 2020, un momento particolare, che per gli  avvenimenti storici che ben conosciamo, mi ha portato a riflettere molto sul concetto di limite, di ostacolo. I limiti che ci poniamo molto spesso sono più barriere mentali che fisiche. Questi ostacoli a volte ci  impediscono di realizzare a pieno le nostre potenzialità, creano distanze tra le persone e rischiano di farci sprecare grandi occasioni.
Ho voluto che l'opera parlasse di me e di tutte le persone che vivono una sorta di combattimento  interiore tra il fare e non fare, il dire e non dire, ma ho scelto di rappresentarla attraverso immagini  riconoscibili, così come accade in ogni mia opera.
L'amore, in quanto sentimento universale, non può accettare l' incertezza, richiede coraggio e ci  invita ad essere noi stessi. L'amore è un' esortazione a realizzare l'impossibile, così come rappresentato attraverso l'immagine. Come la piantina per la lumaca, l'amore è nutrimento per l' anima.’

'This drawing was born with the intention of giving a symbolic representation to the concept of love, understood not only as love towards a person, but as a universal feeling. I used only one medium, the pencil, to be able to return a concise and essential image. There are two spheres connected by a thin thread. In the sphere on the left there is a snail, which observes the sphere on the right on which a seedling is sprouting. The image poses a dilemma: the snail wants to feed, but the only way to do so is to cross the very thin thread that binds the two spheres. Will he succeed? The work was conceived and executed in March 2020, a particular moment, which due to the historical events that we know well, led me to reflect a lot on the concept of limit, of obstacle. The limits we set ourselves very often are more mental than physical barriers. These obstacles sometimes prevent us from fully realizing our potential, create distances between people and risk making us waste great opportunities.
I wanted the work to talk about me and all the people who experience a sort of inner battle between doing and not doing, saying and not saying, but I chose to represent it through recognizable images, as happens in all my works .
Love, as a universal feeling, cannot accept uncertainty, it requires courage and invites us to be ourselves. Love is an exhortation to achieve the impossible, as represented through the image. Like the seedling for the snail, love is food for the soul.'
